Qualifications

:

  • At least one year of experience in a call center environment
  • At least one year of experience setting appointments using a shared database
  • At least three years of customer service experience (e. g., cashier, answering telephones, data entry, etc.)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Other Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience with the WIC Program

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal WIC Program policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use computer, fax machine, copier, telephone.
  • Computer skills: thorough knowledge, skills and ability to use Excel, Word, Outlook, FL-WiSE system.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
