Mechanics perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of Sun's equipment. They ensure company vehicles, lawn equipment, golf carts, etc. maintain proper operating function and perform all major and minor equipment repairs.
1. Schedule and perform appropriate preventive maintenance work to equipment.
2. Perform routine functions of maintenance and repairs of equipment such as company trucks, tractors, riding mowers and hand mowers.
3. Ensure mowing equipment is operable and blades are properly sharpened.
4. Maintain service records on all equipment and major repairs to facilitate historical evaluations.
5. Maintain shop working area ensuring a neat, orderly fashion and observe working conditions in compliance with all appropriate safety and compliance laws.
6. Assist with training team members on safety and the proper usage of equipment.
7. Ensure an adequate amount of inventory; communicate inventory shortages to manager.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, attend and complete training courses as necessary.
9. Assist with mechanical problems and provide emergency assistance to residents and guest as needed.
10. Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years mechanic experience including the maintenance of equipment such as trucks, golf carts and commercial lawn mowers
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors, _preferred_
Working knowledge of fluid hydraulics, automotive electronics, gas and arc welding, fabrication of specialty tools, gas and diesel engines
Good verbal communication skills
Professional appearance
Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
