We are a rapidly growing property management company specializing in single-family residential rentals.
We are excited to announce that we will be expanding our services to include Housing Choice Vouchers.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced Workforce Housing Specialist to support the onboarding and rental application processing for the voucher program.
This individual will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our voucher program offerings and will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities Coordinates all aspects of affordable housing program rental applications, including gathering required documentation, verifying applicant eligibility, and liaising with relevant authorities.
Coordinate with prospective residents and housing authorities to facilitate lease signing and housing inspections.
Maintain a thorough and organized system for managing all paperwork related to the voucher program, ensuring all files are updated and accurate.
Stay current with all federal, state, and local regulations related to housing voucher programs and update the team accordingly.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and other relevant stakeholders.
Delivers timely, professional, and applicable responses to resident or applicant inquiries and strives to resolve issues expeditiously.
Works to optimize occupancy while maximizing effective leased rent.
Coordinates with other team members to achieve Second Avenues established KPIs.
Audits leases, voucher applications, processes and reviews files for accuracy and completeness Delivers positive customer service experience during all interactions with clients, associates, peers, support groups, suppliers, and residents.
Complies with all company standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Excels in a professional, performance driven, fun team environment.
Adheres to Second Avenues Code of Conduct and Mission Statement Candidate Qualifications Minimum high school graduate/equivalency required.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in property management preferred.
Role Specific Skill Set Knowledge of Landlord Tenant Act.
Knowledge of legal notices and processes.
Comprehension of Federal Fair Housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions.
Comprehensive knowledge of HUD rules and regulations, with a particular focus on voucher programs preferred.
Ability to use a computer proficiently, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and property operating/accounting software.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
